Encountered a serious problem i have done a first light on set using redcine saved the project and opened it up again in the edit suite but now realized that the project did not contain any information about the grade nor about the files... no way to relink them now... so if any one can give me a clue as to how to do it, if not a very much requested feature for a new build

1) Project to transfer the look files
2) A way to relink footage if location changes

AH.....YES!!! My hand is raises as well. I can't recall how things are now on the beta 183 and 194 builds, but as i recall on redcine v 20.....if you change the file/image locations there was not an easy way to re-link them. As i recall you had to have the same path on any OTHER drives in order to access the files via the redcine proect.

PLEASE allow for a pointer (like in FCP) so if the files are not there, then you can tell REDCINE-X where they are....Please Deanan! unless the new beta allows us to do that??

Re-linking files in redcine

Nikolai,
How i have re-linked footage in redcine v20 is this: So, if i was doing a color correction from Drive A and saved it all, but then wanted to take the files/project with me on the road or send them to someone else on Drive B....I would have to create the EXACT SAME path as was originally on DRIVE A---using the same folder names etc.....This allowed me to send my redcine project out to someone and they could then just open the .rcn file and see it as i color corrected it. Hope that helps.
