REDCINE in my lap

[Greg M]

I'm sitting in my recliner watching The Office and grading a pocket full of 4K footage I shot today on a machine sitting in my lap (MB Pro) and outputting 1080p QuickTimes that look incredible...am I dreaming?

This is fu*king amazing...what the hell is all the bellyaching about?:bleh:

That's what I'm talking about.

Cool stuff for sure.... you can start to imagine how we've been feeling at the RED office throwing compact flash cards around with 4K footage, loading it up on laptops etc. And we have a 4K projector to play around with

Can you give some settings info to help us all enjoy this as you are and how long is it taking to make a 4k to 1080p quicktime on a MBP.

Thanks

Is this the SXRD ...or something else???

Playing around with Jim's R3D files in RedCine... feel like a kid in a candy shop. The latitude with which adjustments can be made is stunning. It's a little like being 5 and waking up x-mas morning - or that very last day senior year of high school...

It runs great on my 17" MacBook Pro which is a relief because that's why I bought it.

Do you have the Nvidia G-Force card in?

I would like to know the configuration of your laptop because I am looking for one to process footage as well.

Thanks in advance.
