RedCine crashing after splash page

Hi guys, i know a few people have posted about this issue before but none of the suggestions are solving my problem.

I tried to do a reinstall of RedCine as I was having issues loading an xml from Crimson into it and thought it might just be a glitch. So i trashed both the RedCine icon and the RedCine folder in the library folder. But after reinstalling it whenever I try to open RedCine it just flashes up the splash page (the opening icon) and then crashes.

no new RedCine folder has been created in the library.

Anyone got any idea what I need to do to rectify this? Need to online a video asap and dont have any clue how to rectify this as I've tried all the previous suggestions.

Correct. I had the same problem. Redcine will not initially launch on a user account without admin privileges because it tries to write a Redcine folder in the root Library for user preferences (which it can't do if you're logged into a limited account).

Once you install and launch Redcine for the first time as an admin, you should be able to launch Redcine fine from any user account afterwards. At least that does the trick for me...
