Importing footage into Redcine, we have a black screen with build 15 footage but build 16 footage is ok. Footage appears to play but screen is black.

Have tried reinstalling and also dragging the Redcine file that resides in library into the trash.

Did this per chance happen with Redcine 3.1.2 that was trying to process your build 15 footage?

Yes, also happens when I dumped latest build and installed previous build.
What are the tips on dumping new app and reinstalling older app?

I had this issue show up with build 15 files. I uninstalled Redcine and decided to remove all the settings files completely. Then I installed older version. Worked with the build 15 files and finished what I needed to quickly get done.

I then realized, hey I've already worked with 3.1.2 on some other build 15 files and they were okay. Whats the deal? So once again I uninstalled Redcine and totally removed all settings (prefs) files from my system. Then reinstalled 3.1.2 and all files opened both build 16 and 15 no problem.

The one thing that seems to be significant is to remove every trace of Redcine when you uninstall it. Otherwise when you go to install a different version I think you end up with software not recreating all new files but linking to ones from the different version left behind which it uses by mistake and causes havoc.

Exposure defaults to 0

I had same problem,
It's actually that the default setting when importing is a 0 value of exposure in the color menu.
Try that!

Thanks but the above, but it has no effect in my scenario.

Ive removed Redcine from the library and trashed the app... are there other files Ive mssed?
