I am grateful for the feedback, but something tells me our EFP clients are not going to jump through hoops just to have RED footage.
Someone once said, RED is going the way of the Cine and Not Film.. With all due respect, I think RED will follow the money. And EFP outnumbers cine 4:1. I think they will do both.. Putting a lens power connector into the camera was a serious nod to EFP.. They won't stop now.
Bottom line: We need faster render times for 2k shooting. 3:1 would be excellent, and 5:1 would be liveable.. Beyond that.. I think we're too long.
RED knows this.. They get on it.. of that I am sure.
