Hey all,

Here's the workflow: Open REDALERT, make color changes, go to File>Make Quicktime. Now when I open those new Quiktime proxies the color is quite different than it appeared in REDALERT.

Go back to REDALERT: I do a Save 4K TIFF. Now when I open that Tiff file (in Preview for instance) it looks exactly as it did in the REDALERT viewer.

Any ideas?

If this item has been covered before please just point me in the right direction.

Thanks fellas.

The Quicktime codec doesn't currently support all that the RedAlert! app can do to an image. If you alter curves or colour space, or gamma, then it will not match. This is temporary until we can put more features in the codec.

Got it. Thank you very much Graeme. So in the meantime would you suggest Final Cut / Color / After Effects as the primary color grading tool.

Yes, since RED ALERT (or REDCINE) is not meant for that.
