This is a kind of ode for the REDteam and a technology, that changed my habit to shoot, to think in pictures, to trust a new technology and it is a great thank you to Jim and his team.
I got my RED on January 11th, one day before my 50th birthday. That was cool, I think Travis Sims put all his energy in the fact, that RED222 will arrive on time. Thanks, Travis... Since then I shot almost every day, I shot in the cold, in the rain, in a blizzard, in the heat, I shot indoors, outdoors, greenscreen, blue sky 4K, 3K, 2k, from 25 to 120p, timelapse, ASO. From day one I was convinced, RED222 will help me to do my jobs much better then I would have done them before. The first day, I met RED222, I touched RED222 carefully, didn't know, if this camera needs a special treatment or not. Now, three month later, we know each other better and better, RED222 isn't any more a fata morgana, an idea, a promise, RED222 changed to a real tool which I trust more and more, which help me, to fulfill my ideas and jobs.
RED is it. Thanks to the REDteam, looking forward to all new announcements and I try, not to be to impatient when the promises don't always correlate with the facts. It's an adventure, for every body involved, for the REDteam as well as for all of us. Happy to be part of it.
