The first of 3 Red CF Weapons has arrived at Digital FX.

Very impressed with the build quality and design improvements. Im glad we opted for the CF versions as the weight difference is dramatic compared to the older Epic M bodies.
The Red team has really knocked this out of the park, extremely well made and designed body.

If you are shooting in Louisiana and need camera packages or support give us a call.
Or if you just want to come by and take a peak, we always have fresh Community Coffee and would love to meet.

Congrats Greg!

Out of curiosity, what was the time stamp on your order?

M

Thanks Ketch, I hope all is well.

BTW Mark, mine is #138, so it looks like they are ramping up quickly.

Thanks guys!
Stacey- Camera 2 is going in next week, couldn't part with them all at the same time because they were working...so am sending them in one at a time. Plus we are upgrading from 1.8" SSD's to MiniMags...so its not a simple transition for us as we have a ton of media.

I'm really impressed with the new body, Red really did a nice job. It feels so much more refined. And the weight difference is big.

Just missing the side handle. At least it is much easier to palm this camera. :) I really dig the new LCD. It does feel lighter, don't have the old to compare with anymore, and the two thumb bolts make it really easy to add and remove. Only complaint about the LCD is that it does not lay fully flat when mounted on the camera like the other touch 7" LCD.

The cost of media is the only real painful point. I switched to Mini-mags when I upgraded to Dragon, so at least I did not have that to deal with that other than wanting to get some 1 TBs mags.

I also like how the Weapon actually tells you which accessories (mount, FPGA, etc...) were upgraded after a FW update. Maybe this was added to Dragon FW, but I don't recall seeing it. The beta FW boots so much faster too! The new XL module is smaller than the one on Dragon, which is great. The connections on the side of the I/O module work so much better than underneath. So many little things make the Weapon a big upgrade.
