  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED viral?

I think Jim and some others have posted here strong reasons why this is not even possible on current Canon cameras. Something to do with the sensor, I believe.

I guess their claim is that they have hacked the LiveView function, in order to make it read all the pixels? Because obviously, the shutter is not fast enough to shoot stills above 3fps or something like that.
 
they should have waited for april fools... that might give it away too easy, i guess there are new years fools now.

oh, and the foolishness probably needs to go to dvxuser, or blooms - this has nothing to do with RED.

Ok, maybe an overreaction, or maybe under-reaction, but it will be nice to see Scarlet finally hit the streets and be the "next big thing" for people to get excited about.

Not at all.

I have a 5DmkII and shot a spontaneous little holiday video for the family. What a pain in the butt to use handheld, focus was a real problem and the onboard audio... holy s*#%... was it bad.. noise from the camera like you can't believe. I got it back and loaded into FCP and almost barfed at the wobble.

But I love it for stills.
