What I mean, it`s a fair question but a little off from the context, Levan was sharing his fears of the future of his country with an international community he trusts.

exactly, I shared what it with the community I am part of and trust, even if it is not about blown highlights or noise.

Right now, russia has finally invaded us, with 300 tanks, 200 artilery and more than 10000 troops. They don't care even if all of this army will be destroied because it is just 0.00001% of all they have, including troops.

and honestly saying, the world has not reacted, US, UK, EU should care, but we are left alone. There is no international law, and the world will regret this, because trust me, it is not going to be middle east country who will start the WWIII, because they do not have ambition to rule the world. So think for yourself, history shows that ambition to rule the world is the reason for WW. And when Putin, violates all the laws, and when he spits on the worlds opinion, and when he does not care what every other country says. it is AMBITION. and I hope you all understand that Putin is the President of Russia not medvedev, even thou Putin is formally prime minister, he is ruling the russia, for the 3rd time.

And just to differenciate when US entered Iraq, I do not think that this was right, but at least this was done with the international support. If now Russia was supported at least by one country in the world, I would say that we, Georgians are wrong, but look, every other nation in the world tells russia to stop agression, but they do not fucking care. Putin is next Hitler, he is going to be in some time. THINK FOR YOURSELF. there is no democracy in Russia, so why should you believe in their truth.

Terrorism is a new word for "guerrilla" or so called "civil warriors", its a non-military army controlled by hidden goverments interest`s. There`s always a leader behind every movement, and unfortonately most of today`s leaders respond to the same thing (And its not freedom nor human rights).

South Osetia, has been part of Georgia over 20 centuries, at least 8 centuries prior to time Russia has started existance. When Georgia was force to join Soviet Regime in 1921, South Ossetia was part of Georgia, it was before and have always been. And the name South Ossetia was given by Russia, if you are more interested by Stalin. ( fuck him, he was Georgian unforutunatelly. ) once againa RUSSIA HAS NEVER EXISTED NOT AS A NATION, NOT AS A COUNTRY, AND THIS PART OF THE WORLD WAS PART OF GEORGIA. if you are more interested, even Sochi, where Russia is going to have Olympics was part of Georgia when Russia has not existed. So please do not say that it is not happening in Georgia. But even it was some other country, PLEASE CONSIDER THAT RUSSIA HAS BOMBED 12 CITIES OUTSIDE THAT REGION, THEY HAVE BOBMED EVEN PARTS OF CAPITAL OF GEORGIA TBILISI.

United States was a Native americans territory for over 20 centuries. Should indians fight now for they land? There is norms of International Law, and there is United Nations resolutions that your president and your army ignored. There is more than 2000 civilians killed in his houses. There are good arguments for giving parts of the land back to their native inhabittants. We see that in Australia, Africa, Asia, a lot of the recent developments in Europe, and the argument is as relevant in the US and Russia.... Even here in peacefull Norway, this is an issue.


Not taking part in the conflict here as I really don't know anything, just despice actions of war by anyone.

Peace and long time stability has never been achieved through war and imposed regimes...

If you are talking about international Law, and if you want to forget past, then the fact is that South Ossetia, is part of Georgia since 1992, and nobody, I say nobody in the world has the right to take it away. So again, when you mention international Law, remember that your troops are now planning to enter Tbilisi. The capital of Georgia, almost 200 kilometers away from South Ossetia. Even if S.Ossetia is not Georgia as you say, Tbilisi is capital of Georgia since 5th century.

And please be careful, when you tell ME that I am Racist because I never said anything about yourself. And to be honest, I really prefere to be part of Georgia, a democratic and free country, then part of Russia, where people can say nothing when president is elected third time, and when your corruption has not limits in 21st century. Having de facto president for the 3rd time is agly, think about it. Your media is not free, your citizens are not free. Think think think. Why is putin now even officially telling medvedev what to do, even on TV. They are not even hiding it any more. Who cares about Medvedev, how come you like to live in a slavery of several people? I am sure we all love the movie Braveheart in this forum, and we all remember FREEEEEDOM, I am happy to die for it, and you are living in slavery, without even suspecting it.

I was going to write about the unconscionable Russian attacks on Georgia and how it is more important than ever to confront and isolate Russia and impose a cost on Russian imperialism... but then I read this article by Marko Hoare, who has written some great things in the past on the Balkan conflict, and he says much of what I would have...

This is not a case of Moscow supporting the right of national majorities to secede - the Abkhaz have no majority, not even a plurality, in Abkhazia. Nor is it a case of Moscow supporting the right of autonomous entities of the former Soviet Union to secede - Moscow has extended the same support to the separatists of Transnistria, which enjoyed no autonomous status in the USSR, while denying the right to secede of the Chechen Republic. This is simply a case of naked Russian imperialist expansionism. It is Georgia which is fighting to establish its independence, and Georgia which deserves our support. Georgia is a staunch ally of the West; the third largest contributor of troops to the allied coalition in Iraq. A Russian defeat of Georgia would be a tremendous setback for the West’s credibility and moral standing; it would increase Russian control of our energy supplies and encourage further Russian acts of aggression in the former Soviet Union.

We cannot afford to back down before this act of Russian imperialist aggression. We should defend Georgia with all the means at our disposal. We should send troops to bolster her. We should threaten Russia with sanctions. Heroic Georgia is fighting our fight; she is defending the freedom and security of democratic Europe.

There's plenty of footage and knowledge mostly outside the US as it's clear from these two statements.

For example Putin has many times publicly shown his disrespect for US and is quite clearly interested in retrieving the countries that, when the wall fell, was lost. There's great chances that if they can they would want to move to Ukraine next and thereafter the Baltics and then.....

Georgians are Orthodox Christians since 3rd century, people who live in the conflict territory, Ossetians are muslims, but this has nothing to do with religion. Georgia is very tolerant country, it has always been.

well, if they demand an independent muslim state in southern ossetia, that usually has a lot to do with religion. Many countries has recovered from communism, but none has ever recovered from islam... so if it is the usual balkan-problems popping up, I might even side with the stinking communists. Off course every innocent casualty is a tragedy, but a muslim state is the perpetuation of that tragedy.

Anyway, seems like the typical cowardly tactics of low intensity muslim warfare. Daily harassments, leading to ethnic cleansing of georgians and russians, and when something needs to be done about it with force, they pose as victims. Hell they even posed as victims after the pan-arab wars on israel.
