I have no affiliation with Adobe. I have not beta tested the PPro CS5.

This is a general discussion thread for Simple folk like me to cut the clutter for what we we can look forward to in the up coming release of CS5. My humble peers and I are excited about this major release.
Here in LA there has never been a better time to shoot Red, the brand ne MX sensors are popping up everywhere. Rental houses are practically giving extra-ordinary discounts to renters (Insanely low $1200 a week for a fully kitted package. There is an epidemic of the HDSLR flu. I wish Red would reduce the price of the Rockets)

1.What will your projected work flow be to complement the upcoming CS5 release?

My project workflow will be like this:

– Edit natively in PPro
– Export a DPX series and an EDL
– Import into Apple Color for final grade

Once Clipfinder supports the XMLs from PPro we can go straight and grade natively.

MY WORKFLOW,
a, Shoot red 4.5k
b, import to PPro cs5, edit
c, sync external sound
d, do dynamic effects in AE, (shot to shot, skies, explosions, keys, roto, relights, etc, etc,) render AE sequences. photoshop etc
e, Lock Edit,
f, export with proxy sound to Logic Pro, or depending on new features use Izotope RX in PPro CS5
g, export edl, AAf to BM Resolve Mac, CC, and export as 2K tiff16.
h, re-import into PPro cs5 make blue Ray screener
