Red Usergroup Meeting At Ibc !

Hi, i've not been able to put a reservation on a red, but i will certainly do really soon an order for two as i'm following the threads day by day. I'd like to attend this meeting on monday if you guys allow me to. do we have to pay in advance? greets

Hi Sven, and everybody else, who´ll attend on the Monday meeting.
The list is still open, and everybody who wants to join is free to come.
I´ll send out PM´s next week, to get confirmations from everybody, since I´m pretty sure I´ve to do a deposit payment. I don´t need money in advance, I´ll collect it at your arrival at HRC on Monday.

I guess it should be time some of us drop the nicknames for a sec and go with real names at least once just for the sake of not looking too ridiculous at the entrance of the bars when we try to put a name on a face :)
Remember not everybody out there will be reduserforumaholic like us...

Lol, Daniel I was not talking about full names, first names should be fine, I was more talking about avoiding things like "Hey you're OptimusPrime, I'm so glad to finally meet you!"

I've not been to IBC before so what's the situation with tickets? Are there different types or is the free registration an access all areas type affair. Do you need a paid ticket to get to see all the cool stuff?

Thanks Paul, I guess these meetings will also be a lot about cultural-mingling, that's going to be quite interesting.
I never thought that a camera could one day create such a community around the world. It's good that we finally get together at some point cause I'm sure some amazing projects will be born out of all this.
I remember that some FxGuide people with early reservation numbers wanted to make an "all-around the world" red movie project as soon as they would get their camera. I wonder if this is still up and if some people from FxGuide will attend IBC.

Passes are free up until August 20th. You have full access to the fair. There are a number of seminars which are not free. The pass includes a free public transport pass also (trains excluded).

The problem during IBC is finding a place to stay, let alone a place at a reasonable price. If you haven't reserved well in advance it can be a real problem. IBC attracts VERY many people to Amsterdam, which attracts many people any day of the year. So particularly during IBC week-end everything is booked.

Hi to all, I just sent out PM`s /emials to all who have stated that tey´ll come on Monday. Please reply to me via email within the next few days, so I can settle a final number +/- 2 to3 persons with the HRC.

If someone else still wants to join, please also drop me an email, since I´m on production for a couple of days, I´ll check my emails regularly, but I think I wont follow the thread all canstantly.
