For the ones that missed my previous thread:
Dear all,
I am organising a REDuser event for serious camera owners, Scratch
users and industry professionals in cooperation with RED and
Assimilate. The event will be held in a venue called 'de Balie',
address: kleine Gartmanplansoen 10, 1017 RR Amsterdam on September the
13th from 18.30 hr. to 22.00 hr. There is room for about 150 people.
At this event Ted Schilowitz will do a presentation on REDspace, the
SDK and future plans for the camera's. Then Brian Gaffney from
Technicolor, responsible for rolling out the RED workflow worldwide,
will do a presentation on his experiences with the camera and post
production. Then Arnaud Paris from Sysmic films in France will do a
post production workflow talk on his experiences with the Cinevator
for film-out in combination with Scratch. He will show examples on
35mm. The Dutch Society of cameramen will do presentation on their
experiences with the camera and various post production possibilities,
tests they have done with IR filters, magenta filters and the exposure
and shutter problems they have encountered. They will also do some
live grading of test material. Then I want to show some kind of
showreel that we print to film from 4k footage that we will make at my
facility from material that is sent in by users from Europe. So if you
have any material that definitely needs to be shot out to 35mm you can
contact me. Then there will be someone that does a talk on data
handling for bigger projects. All in all a very interesting evening
for RED and Scratch professionals. After the event everybody will be
invited to join us for a big party of which I will disclose details at
a later moment. Because the number of people that can attend is very
limited you can apply for an invitation at the e-mail address
maarten@hetraam.nl. Please put IBC as the subject and write your
camera number in the mail. If you are not an owner yet you can apply
but will have to send in also some kind of resumé about your
professional status.
I hope to see you all on the 13th.
