  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

There seemed to be a few RED cams taping the show, but no one seems to know what happened to those, although the question has been posed several times without a response.

I taped it as well, with an HV20, for personal use and review, but I can't post this without the permission of the participants and the event coordinators.

I think there's certainly enough happening with the camera between now and October to merit another meeting, and 3 days could cover much more ground than 3 hours...

I learned quite a few tips and tricks at the Reduser NAB event and thought it was great. I feel like we covered a ton of ground that night but just scratched the surface of what is possible.
 
Y'all are probably right that it should be in CA. How about Santa Barbara?

Drop me an email. We may be able to post this for everyone to see. I'll look into getting clearance from everyone.
 
I'd be willing to organize another event at some point. I think at this point, boot camp type events may be the best way to go. Hands on, deep training. Three days would be cool. These may already be in the works though. In the meantime, I can't wait to keep shooting. Speaking of which, I'm off to shoot more tests.
 
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Anyone have any ideas on what types of hands on training would be in highest demand? Would everyone be more interested in hearing high-profile DP's and directors using Red in terms of keynotes or top experts and technicians in the trade?

IBC will see the second user meeting this year :)
The last was nice, and it will be great to see many folks again.
 
CHINA will be the one of the biggest markets for RED Ray in 2009 for the D-Cinema if they know more about RED.

You guys should learn more CHINESE Culture in dealing with them.
