Wow looks like we'll have about 18 people! Bit larger than I expected. I've reserved the upstairs portion of the Jerk. Watch this space though, if we get any more we may have to move to the Skydome!

Sean and I will bring our titanium 'R' if you want.

In light of Ice Storm II, should we still have RED-Meet 01 tonight?
That ice storm wasn't much... it's not like we need to call in the army for this one.

4 Yes 0 No thus far. Sounds like a quorum to me.

Thanks! Bro for organizing the first Toronto meeting.
Now we all know why RED did pick 300mm primes and why it goes all the way to 120fps.

Jerk chicken was great, as usual….
I liked RED Magnet’s girlfriends but all three, I didn’t expect:-)

Ya thanks Bro, we had a blast! Andrew: Why have one, when you can have three;) Great meeting you all, hope to do it agian post NAB. See you all then, Nick

Thanks again Ian for organizing this. It was nice to meet everyone there, and that was some pretty good jerk chicken.

First Red Meeting in Toronto

First Red Meeting in Toronto

Thanks so much Ian for organizing & moderating the first Red meeting in Toronto - looking forward to the post-NAB Red meeting!

Y'all are welcome. Perhaps RED-Meet 02 (Hog Town) will follow a more formal agenda, which we can hash out on this here board, after NAB.

Sorry I couldn't make it out (I was stuck on a hellish online session) but I hope you meet you folks at the next meeting. BTW, what'd I miss? Any great incites?

I found it really interesting to see the cross-section of RedUsers at the Toronto meeting: indie filmmakers, DP's, motion graphics artists, new post-production businesses, camera enthusiasts. That's what I took away from the first meeting. Some very knowledgeable folks showed up. Wide ranges of experiences and plans for their Reds. I think it's valuable to meet and create that network of information, because a lot of different bases are being covered. Toronto is a cool town.

I'll second that Sean. As pioneers it's important we get to know each other offline, never know when you're gonna need backup.

I am!

I'd be interested in meeting you guys at the next meeting.
There is much to discuss.

That would be excellent JD, the next RED-MEET(Hog Town) will happen soon after NAB. Watch this thread for notice :spidy:.
Are you going to NAB?
