Hello,

Here is a question, the settings to my Scarlet are factory preset, I haven't moved any sliders within the menus at all.
But what I am noticing is the footage has a more Pink/Maroon look (WB is correct, messing with WB does not change this).

I notice when I bring the footage into REDCineX Pro the tint slider is buried in the Pink/maroon side, and when moving the slider back to the center it goes back to looking the way it should.

Is there a way to correct a setting in-camera opposed to having to make this change in the RMD?

Any and all help is appreciated,

What's your tint setting (settings/maintenance/system status)? Default is 0 - it sounds like you've set a tint that's being added to your metadata.

To reset - hold down the kelvin for a few seconds (or select via menus etcs) and you'll open teh advanced menu - re-set your tint there.

If you only have the Side Handle as your method of control, go to Kelvin, and then hit Up or Down. It will change Kelvin to Tint and you will be able to alter it.

Good trick to try all over the place; there are alternate settings if you hit up or down on part of a menu. All of them are logical alternatives or counterparts to what's there (Kelvin and Tint go hand-in-hand).

Same thing happened to me, it's just tint. Out of the box my scarlet was set to -48 somehow, haha. Slide it back to 0 in camera and it'll be fine.

I had the same issue. If I miss it in camera I just adjust it in RC but it is odd that even thought every time I shoot I reset everything and make sure tint is set to 0 sometimes it still sneaks in there.

I noticed if you hold down on the kelvin menu the secondary menu pops up and if you automatic white balance it almost* always give a tint that is in correct. By default button C on your side handle is set to auto white balance so perhaps we are taping it by accident.

I've disabled my auto white balance for this very reason.

Second this. I shot a short on the weekend and the rushes were a little embarrassing, ha. It looked fine while monitoring the takes but playback looked ...quite bad. I'd reset the tint by holding down kelvin on the touch, but every now and then it'd find it's way to green. Don't know! It was funny

Thank you, found it weird that factory settings were set to that, but the up arrow fixed / alternative menu in WB allowed me to get it to 0.

Appreciate everyone's help and suggestions!
