Like this blood moon. Shot part of this with my Epic and 2 5D3's.

Nice Andrew... and the choreography of those Radio Telescopes was spot on. '-)

But when it got to the Blood Moon shots, I was surprised to see the outer rim so lit up. I wonder if turning on HDRx would have been useful for that shot?

It might have been helpful, hard to say. I've only shot with HDRx on my Epic a handful of times because I've never been thrilled about the results. I would say try it out but it might be safer to stay with what you know, unless you know HDRx really well on the Epic.
