However, before one should even consider adjusting the back focus, that person should be absolutely certain that he is familiar with the inherent soft look of Red footage at 100%. I apologize if I am stating something that is already known, but I personally know many people who have worked with Red footage their first time, and the discussion of soft focus had always surfaced. In every case I heard the following quote uttered in some form or another: "That sucks, I wish someone had told me about that so I didn't waste a bunch of hours looking into it."

So then, I figured that this may be one of those moments and I simply wanted to help - hopefully. In other words, your back focus is probably perfectly fine.
