RED station Reader power cable

My power cables got lost, and i cant use Esata till i replace the power to the reader.

is this cable the same as the USB to 5v, cable? is it compatible?

RED.com has no replacement parts ala carte.

that should work if USB voltage is enough, at 5v should be no issue.

the cables are so cheap, worth stocking up on if they work. RED should really put it up on their stores as a separate item to reduce confusion. they never even sold the power supply separate for the old red drives.
