RED Sidekick operation question

Hi guys, I hope that you could help me out. Regarding about the Sidekick module:

Is there any way to view the menu on an external sdi monitor like with a Redtouch? Are the menus only displayed in the little sidekick display when using the sidekick?

Yes, you can enable menus on the SDI monitor and use the keys on the sidekick to control it. By default the SDI monitor is set to clean mode - you will need to change that first. If you only have the SDI monitor and sidekick you can use the menus on the sidekick itself to setup the monitor.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have another question... A friend of mine who wanted to buy a sidekick has asked me a question I am unsure about. Is it possible to fully operate a scarletMX with a sidekick and non touch red monitor?

Yes, if you have an HDMI monitor or HDSI monitor you can get the full menus on the monitor and use the sidekick/switchblade to control the menus.

If you don't want menus on your monitor at all you can control almost everything using just the sidekick/switchblade and the menus on its LCD.
