Sorry if this has already been posted, but I'm wondering if it's possible to put a deposit on the Scarlett package and then wait until the whole package is ready before it ships? Or will they ship each part as it becomes avalaible? Is it possible to have everything shipped at once, and pay the full price all at once when it ships?

Your Bomb Squad rep will typically allow you the choice -- ship when pieces are available (which you'll need to pay for in full) or hold the entire order until everything is available at once. Personally, I prefer to pay for things as they are available, and get them shipped to me. While something may be available now, it might not be later, and you could find yourself in a perpetual waiting game for everything to be ready at once.

Also keep in mind, things are a bit backordered right now. Lots of stuff came out these last many weeks and it's a bit of a rush right now.

I only ask because I'm still saving up for the package, but want to get in on before the pricing goes up. I want the Scarlett, but didn't want things to ship one by one as I wanted to pay for it in full and have the entire package ship, just in case anything happened in my situation (and I need emergency funds), then I didn't want to have bits and pieces of a camera that I wouldn't have. I don't mind the wait, as all good things come to those who are patient!

I prefer receiving the entire order at once, for one main reason: some parts have a 90 day warranty (media and batteries) so I imagine the clock starts the moment the item is received, right?

Lets say for some reason you chose to receive your kit in separate shipments. So you receive the brain, media and batts first and that some essential parts the camera needs to function are on back order (such as the LCD screen or the Side Handle).

Isn't there the risk that the brain, batts and media will just sit there while you wait for the BO parts, quietly expiring the warranty period without having even been used?

Just a thought.

If a Bomb Squad rep could confirm this I'd appreciate.

Yes, that is a good point I was just going to make also. I'm going to go ahead and place a deposit for the package, but am going to see if I can request it all be sent when it's all ready and pay for it all at once.
