RED SDK on OS X

I've found a couple of people asking this question in various forms and under different topics, so I thought I'd make a home for it...

It appears that a handful of people (myself included) are having problems linking the R3DSDK library on OS X.

Has anyone successfully compiled and run any of the SDK sample applications on OS X? If so, did you have any problems, and how did you get it working?

RED: I know there was supposed to be a discussion forum for this kind of stuff, but since it hasn't happened (that I know of), I thought to post here. Please advise if otherwise.

We're not supposed to discuss the SDK publicly. Please send in an email for support. Also Kyle's post is nearly a year old...
