Hey everyone! I'm just about to buy myself a Scarlet and was wondering if anyone can help me with a few questions.
Basically I'm still trying to decide whether to get 4 REDVOLTS and a Side Handle, or just go with 2 RED Bricks and a mounting solution on the back of the camera?
Also been checking out threads in regards to top handle mounting solution to allow the mounting of the 5" LCD and the top handle together.
Alot of people recommended the X easy stick and other similar products labelled 'X' but the website that sold them seems to be shutdown.
Any help on this would be awesome!

Thanks,
Josh.

To date I use mostly SH and REDVOLTS.
I do have BRICKS and DSMC TACTICAL PLATE but haven't done anything major with it yet.
Love the portability of the SH system.
Oh and if you like doing hand held, get an OUTRIGGER HANDLE.
It made my life easier with the SCARLET.

You're thinking of a company who must have been banned from the forum but still trades.

I have the WC top handle and, if you can see the two holes on the front, they're 1/4"-16 threaded and it's actually possible to mount the monitor through a single hole to the front of the handle there quite securely. It's a super minimal set up.

You can also use the Easy Stick or an Easy Plate (The XL version of which I also have and is excellent). Two of the holes on my Easy Plate XL are bored out (thread removed) so that I can mount the top handle as a side handle, if I wish, pretty neat!

I've always gone with both. The Redvolts don't last very long, so for an all day shoot, it gets pretty tricky. Sure there is something to be said for the weight, I set my Scarlet up with two top rods out the back and an AB plate dropped down from those with some HCX batts. This gives the camera some counterbalance, which I like for HH. I use a REDvolt in the SH for hot swapping of the AB Batts. I used Wooden Camera components like the easy X top, the easy stick, 100mm Nato Rail (I like WC Nato rail system better than RED's cause it has safety stops), Nato Top Handle (best way to go, can get in and out of case 95% built, just slide on the handle and there you go), Top Rod Riser, 19mm Universal Clamp, 19mm Tiny Versal, and QB Anton Back.

Also, I am trying to sell the Scarlet. Interested?
