Greetings from Finland,

Just wanted to share the same joy so many has shared before me. After waiting for years for this baby (and what felt like years since Nov) I am proud to say that Fedex finally came knocking last week with our PL #138. Sorry for the late response here but have been really busy with both work and playing around with this little beast. Holding one of these in your hands is as has been described before - nearly magical.

Still missing a decent way to power her up, so we have been restricted to playing around with the Scarlet in the office. Waiting for a side handle, v-mount and red mote. Otherwise pretty geared up and ready to roll. Hope you guys get yours quickly, and if anyone is still not sure to get one or not... I say go for it.

-Paul

Congrats! I have to admit the whole serial number thing is, to me, the most confusing. This is #138 and it just arrived? Oh well... life's little mysteries. Enjoy!

Thanks Terry!

Beats me... maybe it´s a Europe/PL thing? My only guess would be that the bottleneck would be the mounts rather than body... but that´s just me guessing. How has that edelkrone worked for you? Still in the market for a decent shoulder rig myself.

Terry, while not 100% consistent - I believe this was a very early order, just held up because of the PL mount shortage. Same as the Ti Canon mount - folks that are finally getting theirs have their serials much lower then those that ordered AL mounts later, but got them already. I will get mine next week - will let you know the serial...

Paul, while not the cheapest around - I am myself thinking to get the RED GUNNER. It is extremely small and light - but incredibly strong and allows you to mount accs like matte box or follow focus without the use of rods, while keeping the whole rig more solid then rods could ever do. I am even going to make a custom bracket to attach the RED PRO MATTE BOX to it with sliding functionality without rods. I really like the GUNNER...

Well, I guess we should all admit that it injects a little fun and mystery into a process that is sometimes excruciating. :biggrinjester:

I started off back in November with a fairly calm, resigned attitude about the way. But, as I have acquired some of my other peripheral equipment and I see the numbers getting closer, I am going a little crazy wanting my allocation notice NOW!!

P.S. I do love the Edelkrone MOD 7. But using it with my 60D just doesn't stack up! lol The Gunner does look very cool, as does the Clutch, albeit premium priced.

The very second you let the whole "wait" slip your mind is the moment you receive the allocation e-mail. Or thats what happened to me at least. :)

The Clutch and Gunner really do look good but, as you said, not the cheapest options around... Not that they should be but there is bound to be other viable options as well. (read as: starting to cheap up after the latest spending spree in RedStore ;) )
