  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

[(RED) WTB] RED Scarlet with CF module

they don't exist.

You need a faster drive (i.e. SSD) to record to for the high bit rate/compression of Red Scarlet/Epic...if it was possible you could easy take a CF module and apply it to DSMC.

You also need to have your full name to have a account on Reduser

I was asking because apparently some epics came with CF modules:

Also, I am following reduser policies, as quoted in the signup terms of service:
"REDuser is a Real Names Community. Please register using your real name. First name only is not acceptable. We prefer that you use both your full first and last name. However, you may use an initial for your first or last name (but not both). Please place a space or a character, such as _ between the two names."

if cf scarlets/epics exist i still am not sure the firmware exists to run them as such... and if so certainly not with all the higher throughput features i am sure

CF Modules for DSMC were thought about in the early development process. RED ended up having to go SSD only on the DSMC cameras because of the data rate. If there are any DSMC CF Modules around they are only at RED, never to have been seen by anybody on the outside, and they do not function.

I'm sure you could still buy a camera though with the side SSD, there have been some floating around lately at a pretty good deal.

if CF's are needed cuz of ur budget, what about an old red one mx with cf module? that'd be a cheap price point for sure...?
