Red Scarlet-W Footage yet?

[Craig Charlton]

Red team are we going to see another awesome product video for the scarlet-w like we saw for the Raven.

I have already put in the deposit for the Scarlet-W 4 days ago.

Just wondering if you guys are gonna wet our whistles while we wait :yesnod:

[Rakesh Malik]

I put a deposit in last week as well... but it seems to me that Carrion would be a great preview if it weren't for how badly YouTube's streaming compression butchered it. I'd love to see an original mp4 before the youtube-ification.

Not that I'm going to hold off on shooting before I get mine of course; I have several projects to shoot in the mean time while I await my new system...

[Daniel Schweinert]

Any Scarlet-W footage yet? I know it's the same sensor but Im still interested

[Carlos de Varona]

Same

[Matthew Quinn]

I really hope they make something that rivals "Carrion". I think it REALLY helps getting producers on the same page.

[Daniel Schweinert]

Just send me a Scarlet-W bundle and I will do it

[Carl Epstein]

The Scarlet-W is a different sensor than the Raven.

[Daniel Schweinert]

I though it was the same sensor just with less active area? Anyway Im interested only in the Scarlet-W

[Brian Merlen]

Yes scarlet w is more active, same sensors

[Andrew Wonder]

I posted an little anamorphic sample here:

[Daniel Stilling]

The Weapon, Scarlet-W and Raven use the same sensor, just different areas of it. It actually is the same sensor as the Scarlet Dragon and the Epic Dragon, although those 2 have a different processors.

[Stephen Nguyen]

This looks awesome, Andrew. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the clarification on the sensor size.

Watch the video above but set the quality to 2160p and you will get a better sense, still compressed you'll get a much better sense of the clean 1080p

Still no more footage from these new Scarlet-W cameras that are out in the wild??

It would have been great if owners would upload footage as a "community service", but why doesn't RED offer easily downloadable clips themselves? Various formats and lighting conditions…

[Matthew Quinn]

I am taking my Scarlet-W on a commercial shoot on Sat. I will ask the agency if I can post a few shots. If not I will roll some footage after the shoot.. expander comes today so... Im super excited

[Colin Nusbaum]

That would be much appreciated Matthew. Thanks and have fun on the shoot!

Yes, Please, Matthew!

That would be especially great since you could perhaps share a few of those .r3ds. Actual client footage couldn't be uploaded as native files...
