Hi guys,

Just received our Scarlet-W and upon first-boot, camera only powers up when switched to AUTO-BOOT and then this error shows up. Tried with direct power as well. No red power LED light when using battery but camera boots with AUTO-BOOT.

Error: 0x0000001d

Please save log and send to RED support.

SHUTDOWN.

Using I/O V-LOCK package Scarlet-W with brand new SWIT S8260S. Updated to latest firmware. Error still pops-up randomly.

Should I send the Camera back?

im glad im picking mine up at the red store and doing tests before i leave.

Call your rep would be the first thing. Second, damn you just received a Scarlet-W V lock package, nice.

I'm in touch with RED support. Will have to send it back I guess. I hope it gets fixed asap. A few upcoming projects rely on this.

Thank you for the feedback guys.

That sucks man, your first experience with the camera should have been much more exciting than that. Don't stress though, RED are great with these situations and it'll be solved

Thank you. Lets hope it gets sorted soon.

Hello guys,

Finally got the SW back. It was a faulty board and everything seems to work after a couple of quick tests. Will try a longer field test and see. Red support was prompt.

Did notice a minor software bug on the RC compression ratios. While fiddling with the settings, I was able to select RC 2:1 on all resolutions. Seems like a bug. Camera restart fixed it.

I noticed this as well when the SSD was not in. However, when I put the SSD in, this went away.
