  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

very heavy for gunner pad....u need to put some more neoprene on shoulder arc....very sturdy but very unconfy.....just red lcd, no side handle red brick attached to camera, follow focus and lens that's it

Looks great Paolo! I'm shooting something similar to this in a few weeks. What ISO were you set at? The lighting looks like it was pretty decent in many of the shots.

What is a "gunner"? I've been trying to figure out whether or not I want to use a monopod or a shoulder rig. Shoulder rig is much faster but a CF monopod is a lot smaller to deal with.
 
arthur defenetly shoulder mount.....gunner is the red shoulder mount look in the store of red.com........iso max 1600.....terribly noisy over it....and i hate denoise in post it makes everything soft

Thanks for the info! The gunner looks comparable to the WC shoulder rig I was thinking about getting. The accessories are a bit beyond my budget but watching some reviews on the Red Gunner make it seem like a great compact rig.

Is it safe to assume that the lens was not wide open since you were using high iso selection? Did you shoot auto focus or manual? If manual then lens was not wide open. Is this correct?

I said max 1600 iso that means i use it when i am in dark situations...it s not a 5d mk 3 that can see in the dark...and the lens is always at 2.8/8 max i like shallo dof...no autofocus! Autofocus is for photographers!!
