  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red scarlet MX losing the date and informations data

Hi, did you ever sort this issue? My scarlet dragon forgets my timebase settings etc on every power down. I changed the internal clock battery so the clock is fine but the project setting reset every time and is very annoying!
 
This sounds like a stress I'm not ready for. I may pull my gun out and shoot the damn thing... With that said.. Is there a reliable FIX MAN outside of RED,( charging us $676 for a $2 battery,) that can fix RED cameras...?

Follow the link on the earlier page - It take less than 15 minutes to change the battery - very simple just requires a degree of care.
 
I changed the battery in our scarlet following the diagram someone on this board provided. Super simple.. make sure you have a cleared off table as your workspace. If memory serves me correctly it’s less than 20 screws you have to remove to get to the battery slot on the motherboard.

Don’t be afraid... in fact... you should enjoy the experience, because it’s kind of like a “behind the scenes” look into the worlds coolest camera.
