I don't think I've seen anyone post RED footage with the use of a lensbaby lens so i thought I would share. I love the shady look it gives so I was excited to get my hands on one.

Looks great. I have access to one of those lenses... time to go play. ha ha

Totally! I had the lens laying around for 4-5 months before I decided the use it with my RED. The lens does seem like it downgrades the resolution of the video because nothing is really that in focus, but the look is great. Post your stuff when it's up!

Btw. very nice video and nice model :)

Muse music :) FTW

Looks cool man.

Rami - this looks great! Which lens baby? Muse, Composer, etc? I know Dave Mullen likes Muse...

best

Thanks! I used the Composer Lensbaby. I bought it in 2010 when there was only 1 option for that model. Now I see they have quite a few options. Not sure what the difference is now, but the build looks more sturdy.

I'm shooting a feature in 14 days time on 3 Scarlet Dragon cameras... There is a pretty cool dream sequence in the film where this lens baby might come in handy. Will need to do some testing but your video has got me thinking this look might suit the dream pretty well. Thank you.

Totally - It's a good alternative to the classic fuzzy diffusion look and definitely looks more organic. What I like about these lenses is if you shoot in dim lighting, it looks pretty creepy, but if it's an overall bright shot it can look almost angelic. I guess that goes for any lens really, but specifically these.
