Hi everyone,

I was just having a little laugh to myself.
I've just finished a bunch of AD's for the REDS RUGBY TEAM shot on a RED.
RED, REDS get it... ha:wink:

Anywaaaaay...

For all of you that are wanting to get into QUICK TIME PROXIE editing and On lining, this is what you can get by using purley the QT's and nothing else.

Not a single DPX in sight. no prolonged rendering of files, no converting of any files, just shot in a day, simply dropped the 2k Quick times into the FCP time line editing 5 seconds later. Edited TVC over 2 days. Output to HD SR tape. Done. easy. out the door.

This was all done in FINAL CUT PRO in 2k.

Here's the AD.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Great !

I am still trying to follow you : 1 person, 1 day shooting, simpliest workflow (but I don't have such result and quality yet:meh: )

Great job!

I sent the link to my son who plays rugby.

Two of my favorite rugby bumper stickers: "It takes leather balls to play rugby" and "Rugby players eat their dead".

Powerful images. Love the editing.
The only complain must come from the second player: "why me feared?" :-)

Big T,
Very nice work.

If I may ask.

Which FCP filmlook filters did you use?

What glass was this shot on?

David

I'll try answer most of the questions.

All done in FCP. flicker, grain, effects are all from SAPPHIRE FX plugins in FCP the same as what FLAME, INFERNO use).
Way cool FX package. www.genarts.com/sapphire-ae.html

Glass used were F2 ZIESS HASSLEBLAD lens on a Clairmont shift tilt system. My favorite lens kit in the whole world.

Grade was done using 3 way in FCP. plus some of the SAPPHIRE FX plugins.
Out put to SR tape via Black magic card.

Hope this helps guys.. and thanks for the comments. Was fun.
My smallest job of the year and one of the most fun to do. typical!

Merry Christmas dudes.

Loved it-beautiful work-amazing what the 3-way cc can do. Would've loved to have seen the Brumbies! (of course the pun value would be lost...).
