RED ROCKET UPGRADE?

[Jack Heller]

maybe this has been covered over the years but will improvements and upgrades to the red rocket card be (a totally new purchase) or do the amazing red team members have any plans to give current owners discounted upgrade when the card goes into the next generation? deciding if now is the right time to buy one (even tho its backordered)

Thunderblot connection possible and of course single link 3G.....loose DVI and go with some other 10bit connections

I had the same dilemma 2 weeks ago but just jumped in.

I believe it was mentioned that there are no immediate plans for a new version of a Rocket Card.

I have a red rocket, and I could not imagine my workflow without it. It's amazing.

I would be very, very interested to have some kind of a roadmap with respect to potential new versions of the Rocket. This technology is a couple of years old by now, is it not? It would be great to have at least some kind of heads up as to when something new might be coming along, or not. If I knew that a replacement was as least 6 months away, for example, I would feel more comfortable slapping down $4,500 on the table. If, on the other hand, I knew that a replacement was possibly coming in the next few months, I would rather hold off.

A new Red Rocket that was rt S3d Epic capable (and did 2x renders for 2d stuff) AND only took up one slot would be fantastic!!

I'd pay double ;-)

PS A very very loose roadmap (no dates) and a 3 month heads up would be more than fair...
