  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED Rocket & Kona Compatibility

We had issue today laying off using our Kona 3 today. The timeline is 1920x1080 ProRes HQ 10bit, but monitoring using the 8bit. I audio monitor the digital audio out of the mac, while editing and when I switched to use the audio on the kona during layoff today, I experienced dropped frames. I did get one segment to layoff, but the other kept failing. I rendered self contained quicktimes and tried on 2 different drives, to make sure it wasn't a drive issue. Took out the Rocket and put the Kona back in slot 2 and all was good...so....I may try the Rocket in slot 3 and see... Is there an expansion slot utility like in the first MAC Pros to customize the slots or is it all automatic now?

i have mac pro 2,1 with black magic hd extreme digitizing card
Can I used red rocket card in my Present system without any modification i have PCie 1.0 slot in my Motherboard

second thing is what is the minimum system requirement for Red Rocket So That I can finish a project in 4k

The Alexa does P or PsF, I was wondering why they'd put the option there. Is it for things like this?
