Does FCP 7 and the new RED FINAL CUT STUDIO 3 INSTALLER support RED Rocket™? if not any plans for the immediate future?

Thanks
Colin

thats the $1M question, with iphones and iTunes now representing the LIONS Share of reevenue and developers flocking to that side of Apple whilst proapps have become a blip on their bottom line

Then factor in that they are publicly traded (read: EPS is everything)

I think that means "whenever they eventually get around to it"

Tim is absolutely correct. A friend of mine recently talked with one of the FCP developers from Apple. He is the only video/Film editor on the entire development team, which is very worrisome for a start. He stated that he really couldn't talk about what was being worked on because of the publicly traded reasons, as Tim points out. He did say that Apple is always pulling developers from other departments in order to do work on higher priority departments, being the OS and iphone. This al started back when the iphone was being rolled out, which meant developers went to it from all of the other departments, resulting in Leopard being a couple of months late, and most recently with FCS3, because of work on Snow leopard.

Yes, the L&T will support it soon.

Hm, interesting. But in my opinion ROCKETcine-X with Hans Flight Director will work better than L&T.

For FCP and our current workflow, something was cool. We saw the mobile version of the RED Rocket connected to a MacBook Pro & a Directors Monitor at Silverado the other day. (I think that was the MacBook Pro I ordered once before and they use it now). And it ROCKED.. especially for thinking about doing Dailies .

Like a mobile Daily Station or something. But related to that , using it in addition to our other Final Cut Pro Site License would be cool. But now we have our sitelicense ready to use FCP. but our solution may be.. just have one RED Rocket based computer on the old FCP version.
