Hi! I read different opinions on that and I want to get the truth on this question.
Rocket is capable of 1/2 debater at 8bit maybe inside DaVinci Resolve due to faster transcodes of Epic 5K footage?
Or it's forced to full debayer (with slower than real time performances)?

Thanks :)

The same wonder
It seems RR it always forced to full debayering

How's that working out? $5000 for a card you can't even get real time performances? can get sub real time performance without the RR.

:)

Will, you're posting a lot about Red Rocket's "inabilities" today. Did you have a bad experience?

I get better than real time with a Rocket in Resolve when Rendering.

It has been stated Will that 5k footage is a bit slower than real time with a rocket but barely. The Rocket was designed for 4K. I've been transcoding Epic 5K footage at just under real time and sometimes real time.

No, just informing myself before I buy the card this week. Seems like it works for trans-coding but in the editing program doesn't actually give a performance boost worth $5k investment. Still researching. Thanks

I see, what work-flow are you using for the edit?
