Are people still having trouble with this version of OSX. I've combed through the posts. I just upgraded my mobile set-up to a MBP Retina, Sonnect TB enclosure and running 10.8.2 with all the latest firmware and drivers from Red. RCX recognized the RR card, but will only playback at 1/16. Getting decode errors on anything above that. Help please?

It works for me. Same setup as you.

Double check to see if the latest Rocket drivers are indeed installed. Then re-flash your Rocket firmware. Make sure you have all the Thunderbolt updates installed for your Mac as well. There was a Thunderbolt update recently that didn't come through Software Update, or at least not directly at the time and I recall having to install that to fix a few issues.

Do you have any other Thunderbolt devices connected to the system?

Mine was okay until the RR died sadly.

...Which brings up another point. Is there a way to borrow a Rocket card from someone else and try it on your setup? Have you filed a support ticket with RED? This could, unfortunately, be a damaged or defective Rocket card. Could be a problematic Thunderbolt enclosure as well... Not as likely as it seems it works for some modes on the Rocket, but just throwing that out there.
