Hello.
Just sold my R1 and I'm eagerly awaiting stage 4 :)
Now... A few years back I invested in a Red Rock Micro Cinema Bundle and was wondering if anybody has been using that together with EPIC? What accessories do I need to buy? Or do I just scrap the idea and go for the CLUTCH?

Anyone?

You can try this :

Hi Koray, could you provide some details on the riser you have used please? I'm looking at an almost identical setup for my Scarlet and I'm delighted that the redrock gear I have can be used in this way!

I have full REDRock Micro cinema bundle for our DSLR rigs and the RED accessories (rods, baseplate, etc, etc) for our Epic. I have to say that as much as the REDrock micro is good for quick low-format jobs...the RED kit is in a different league to the build quality of the RRM rigs. RRM aren't that cheap by comparison and you get 10x better quailty with the RED accessories...they just feel right.

I had a REDrock micro arm that couldnt support very much weight without it moving, wouldnt fully hold a 7" Marshall monitor...think it might have been a naff one but still had to tighten it to within an inch of its life and it still didnt become solid enough...eventually it seared off and it is useless (compared to the RED arm which is great and does exactly what I was hoping the RRM arm would do) and I had a wingnut shear off in the first week of using it (I spoke to REDrock and they weren't interested in replacing it...nice!)

My point is that I have had a few things not work right out of the box (possibly just unlucky) but if I were you, I would spend the money on the RED kit as it is in a world apart from RRM.

Hope that helps,
Neil

Oh and compared to RRM if you have a problem with the kit you bought...RED are second to none at sorting it out.

these are all you need for the above images.. And it is pretty practical. Use it with the rig or easily detach the camera and use it independently or attach the whole system to a tripod.
Very rock solid. Ofcourse to have lm-15 + arri bp8 + ff5 + 19 rods is better but if you have these items already then you can use this config.

Thank you very much. That really helps. One question that I have is that I guess from your previous images you use the Side Handle?
If so, do you have to unmount the camera from the rig when inserting a new Red Volt. Or do you just pop a new one in?
