Is there anyone that has used the Red Rock Matte Box with large front barrell lenses? I'm specifically looking at the Angenieux 25-250mm HR front barrell at 136mm especially if using the additional third filter option. Wondering if 4x5.6 is large enough for the large lense to clear and get full coverage.

Thanks... Justin Machacek

I think the biggest it can fit is the Red 18-85mm. The first didn't unless you shaved it a little bit but I think they modified the MB since and now they fit the zoom, just barely. I can't remember the diameter of the 18-85mm though, but I think 142mm.

If I'm not mistaken, RR adopted the Chrosziel bellows dimension of 142.5mm in later versions.

Thank you fellas.... we mounted the original Red Rock mattebox & 25-250 Angenieux yesterday. The bellow cleared fine. However in adjusting to accomodate a 3rd filter stage there was some vingetting that would need to be cropped out. For now I'm going to stick with the 2 stage mattebox and all is well! Thanks again... Justin
