RED REEL 2011?

[Robert Frank]

Did anyone get into the RED Tent to see it?

Any news from RED Team on when the rest of the world might get a look at the latest & greatest?

[Robert Frank]

tap, tap, tap... is this on?

Is there a RED REEL this year? Bueller?

[Anthony Rinaldi]

I sure hope so!

There wasn't a reel shown in the traditional RED way, they delivered a short narrative piece titled "Tatoo" that looked great.

Thanks! I hope the nonNAB goers will get a chance to see it too!

I do remember the call for footage going out from Michael Cioni @LightIron some months ago and was eager to see the best of the RED footage out there!

[Frank Weeks]

Steven is correct. The Reel shown in the red tent included a 3d short and a 2d short on Monday. The 2d short was a western theme featuring Powers Booth and James Hong. It related to a tattoo requested by a mysterious stranger. A glimpse at the end was brief but I believe it was a Red Dragon. Beautifully shot.

I have not seen a conventional Red Reel. Perhaps Red feels that with the limited number of Epics, and the fact that they are only partially enabled, encouraged a different path.

BTW that's not to say that there isn't a Red Reel, it's just not being shown at the booth at present.

I know Michael was working on a reel of Epic footage as he called and we attempted to set up a shoot in my neck of the woods, but the weather didn't cooperate.

It's just Monday folks

Yup, just checking in. No worries.
