Hi Guys,

I update my Raven to the latest firmware a few days ago and I also perform a sensor calibration I recorded some footage today and I notice in my footage green pixels popping up once in a while during the video is playing its not continuos thru-out each frame. Please take a look at the photo should I redo the calibration or revert to previous or is this another issue.

The dots appear only in the upper right corner of the footage.

These issues with raven make me worry a bit. I Just dropped off my camera due to the same issue, there is a thread already started with a similar issue. This happens after you do the black shade calibration. I had to drop off my camera because they said it might be hardware related even though i told them it might be firmware related, because they saw errors in the log file. Check the thread here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?146740-Raven-Screen-Tear-What-do-I-do

Yep, happened to me. I sent mine back and they gave me a whole new brain. It also seems many of these little glitches happen in the top right hand corner of the LCD?

I am also holding back updating the firmware as last time I did it, the issue occurred. I would try go back to the factory-setting color calibration and see what happens, that may work.

What happens when you black shade on your new raven brain? does it work ok?

Haven't needed to black shade yet. I'm hoping when I do, it's all good.

Would you dare to try it for us? Because if it happens on your new brain then it means it's a firmware thing that's happening in all of them. I'd would have tried that right away because one day you're gonna have to do it. Or you don't want to find out? :p

Ok guys I will try reverting to either factory or my previous calibration and test either one and then I will perform another calibration under the new firmware I will report back my finding later today.

Hi Luis, if you are still experiencing this pixel issue with your Raven after performing another sensor calibration, please submit a Technical Support ticket for further troubleshooting.

Yes I still have the issue the odd part is its noticeable during high ISO 640 and above lower values the pixel are not shown also I reverted to the last calibration in March that seems to work fine i submitted a ticket with log and same sample photo as shown in this post. my ticket number is #52922

Yes seems like a blackshade firmware issue. Although they said mine was hardware issue so they replaced brain..

Luis, if you still have issues definitely create a support ticket and speak with Felipe. He's super helpful and knowledgable!

Sorry forgot to post up looks my factory and march version works fine but every time I perform a new black shade same issue I submitted a to me and sent in my log plus sample footage strange thing is the random pixels become very active when increasing to high ISO.

Yeah this happened to me too. I have been busy with shoots and editing that I still haven't had time to goto RED to have the camera checked out. Right now I'm at factory default settings and that has at least alleviated the problem. It just always says that my calibration is out of date whenever I turn on the camera.

Latest update base on my tech support status is we will probably have a new firmware to address this issue in the coming week or two I too had to revert back to factory calibration for now.

Glad to know, hopefully I'll hear something from my ticket today. I'll let you guys know what I hear.

First shoot with the Raven today and this happens. I am real bummed because I have tons of shoots lined up, all slated for Raven. I guess I currently have to use Factory settings until this possible firmware fix. Nothing new about this, Luis?
