Hi,

We have a strange issue with Red Raven, if anyone can help out.

When I turn on the camera the Red Touch or any other connected monitor through SDI or HDMI doesn't have menus.

The touchscreen itself works because every time the camera turns on I get two messages: "improper shutdown" and "wifi error" which can be easily removed by pressing the Red Touch - but that's all I can do. There are no menus. I've try double tapping the screen but no success.

What's even stranger - when I turn on the camera with lens attached there is no picture. Only when I press magnify hard button on Red Touch I get the picture but still no menus.

The Side Handle is bricked - the menu button doesn't work. And also the record button on the Side Handle or camera itself can't start recording.

I've tried upgrading, downgrading, everything - no success.

And finally - when I want to turn the camera on or off I have to press the power button way longer than before.

All of this happened during the shooting, not after firmware upgrade. And I can't make the camera log to send it to the Bomb Squad because I can't enter the camera menu.

Any idea or advice is kindly appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: I've also tried taking of the Side Handle, switching the monitor with another Red Touch and even switching the V-lock I/O adapter and then upgrading - no success.

Have you tried to "Double Tap" in the middle of the touch screen? (make sure you play around with the speed of the double-tap if the menus don't come back right away)

I've had this problem where the menus are turned off on all the outputs (SDI, HDMI, etc.) and the only way to turn the menus back on is the "Double Tap".

Let me know if it worked,
