Red Raven Anamorphic

I was just wondering does anyone know if they will add an anamorphic option to the red raven, just like they had on the red epic?

As far as I know, it seems to be a no on anamorphic support. It was asked and discussed briefly in other threads. Unless they decide to add it later?

I would imagine this is something they COULD implement no?

Being an entry level RED though I can see why anamorphic isn't really a priority given the cost of good anamorphic glass.

There are no anamorphic glass for EF mount, not that I know of. Even if there will be or you'll use an anamorphic adapter like SLR magic, you can always use a 1.3x one, that is created for a 16:9 sensor. No desqueeze option in camera is not an issue these days - pretty much any pro monitor and EVF has that functionality.

S35 animorphics are crazy expensive, and the only budget option will be the MFT anamorphics designed for cameras like the GH4. It seems like you'd either have the $$$ for an Epic with anamorphics, or you'll have the budget option. Adding anamorphic support on an in-between sensor like the Raven seems odd, to me.

Would also like to see this option, it works great on the R1. As for there being no anamorphic EF glass, many people are shooting anamorphic with 2 lenses and an adaptor, the taking lens being an EF lens. Also many Anamorphic zooms use a Universal PL mount that can be switched to an EF Universal mount.
