RED Quick Plate on ET:s Topside Combo?

Can I attach the RED Quick Plate at the rear of the Element Technicas Topside Combo? Do the threads match?
Without using a Universal Mount?
If I use a single handle at the front of the plate?

Ah, yes. I should have understod that.
Can you put it in different places to - for example beside the camera as the clip-on mounts?
