Hello All, LOWER PRICE.
Everybody knows this lens. It cost $10k when it was new and it does make some nice pictures. The good people at DropDrop Studios made this little ditty to demonstrate the lens on a RED Epic-MX.
This lens weighs nearly ten pounds and gets a lot of criticism for that alone, but consider this. Fujinon's 18-85 weighs in at 15 lbs, is one stop faster after all, but costs $87,300!!! Anyway, I consider this lens a good starting place for a cinema kit and it covers a lot of ground. I would keep it if not for the fact that I have now acquired some other glass that covers the range and so I will put it up on the block. From what I can tell, even though RED still has this in the online store, they are no longer being made. Which makes the fact that Tilta just came out with a support for it a bit odd. Anyway, it will come with the support and in the original box.
I would like to get $4300 for it. Make an offer.
