Are there old red primes with different focal lenghs? Mayby Cooke / Digi Optical rehoused?

Best regards

Philip

RED PRO PRIMES

RED PRO PRIMES

The RED Pro Primes were available in the following focal lengths:

- 18 mm
- 25 mm
- 35 mm
- 50 mm
- 85 mm
- 100 mm
- 300 mm

The Digi Optical was the long lost cousin of the RED Short PL Zoom. There were 2 zooms produced:

- 18- 50 mm
- 50-150 mm

Yes i know them. But then i saw an unknown 200mm lens. It looks like cooke and has a serial number, beginning with "R".
Mayby i can get it then i will post a picture.

Yes, if you have a visual, I'm sure someone can I.D. it for you. The only 200mm I'm aware of is the Nikkor modded with a PL mount.

Hey I have all of these lenses...

The RED Pro Primes were available in the following focal lengths:

- 18 mm
- 25 mm
- 35 mm
- 50 mm
- 85 mm
- 100 mm
- 300 mm

Philip Schneider interesting that you mention the 200mm as having a serial # that starts with 'R' - all of the RED primes between 18mm - 100mm have serial #'s that start with 'P', but the 300mm has a serial that starts with 'R'.

Ok! Strange thing. It seems to be rare.
When i get it i will post some pics

I`ve got it. Now you can see the serial number and the size of the lens.
It`s very well processed and it has a long focal throw. the weight is about 3 KG.
So....what is it????

That`s all i know about it. Mechanical it seems to be very good! Optical quality i can`t say something. Mayby i will try it on my scarlet.

I'm pretty sure it is a Tamron based 300mm that Red introduced first

Yes, 2950 gramms. And i red it on a paper that the focal lengh is 200. i only can compare it with a 70-200 Canon on the FS7 if i get it back on weekend.

No i`m not sure about anything anymore :)
Ok...i think i have to check some details here.

There are no more markings. Only a serial number.
i did a quick test and the nearest focal point seems to be about 8 meters

Jacek you were right!
It`s really a RED PRIME 300 T2.8!
I checked the serial back.
It`s very rare.
