Dear all,

I remember a while back there was a helper app called Red Portal that allows you to double click on an R3D and it would open up in Red Alert.

I was able to find the old thread, but the download link is not working:

I am wondering if anyone might still have the installer? Or if there's a new download link, point me to it?

Much appreciated!

Thanks, Michael

RED Portal

RED Portal

You might have to select an .R3D in the Finder and use COMMAND-I to get to the additional information. In the additional info window you can tell OSX to always use RED Portal to open your .R3Ds (open with ----> RED Portal -----> Click Change All).

That should do it.

Thank you for the help. This is a great tool to open your .R3Ds.

And don't forget to set your permissions in Finder to allow OSX to use the application (Red Portal) to open all documents like this. (.R3Ds) Select 'Change All' this will apply the change to all of your .R3D files. Nice!
