RED please release this top mount for DSMC2 EVF

Since I first saw this photo of the custom EVF mount for Christopher Probst on reduser, I've been wanting one of these so bad, and hoping that RED would release it for the general public. My main reason for wanting this so bad is so I can use both GDU handles while using the EVF. So I decided to post this and see if there are others who have been wanting to use their EVF on the top port of the camera, hoping that this may convince RED to actually release this.

Oh, something like that would be super sweet! I assume it can slide left and right to adjust the distance the EVF is away from the camera body?

It would be perfect with the GDU handles. The evf mounted to the side of the brain is somewhat restrictive.

+1 or something like this, less bulky.

I have my EVF on the side, i use a wooden camera toolless adapter so i can take it off very quickly for moving around but also that wooden camera pushes out the EVF by a cm or so which means i can often use my left eye as i'm left eye dominant.

It works well, but there are certain configs where it's difficult - shoulder and so on.

A more flexible EVF mount would be welcome, i hate to go down the route of man-rigging this thing with arms and god knows what. There's something really nice just having a stripped down set up.

Even something to push the adapter further to the front would be useful.

I think David, you're stripped-down set up aren't you? Leica glass and everything?

Yes Paul Im definitely into the striped down set up (less is more) and I do love me some Leica M glass. However I have to say lately I've been contemplating selling my evf because there's no clean wireless way of mounting it to the top of the camera, if RED were to offer this type of top mount I would most definitely hold on to it.
