  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED! PLEASE MAKE THE RED RAY PLAYER USB 3.0... for powering 4k TV purposes

I'm reading that the newer version of USB3 will have 100 watt capability through the wire. That would be very useful for powering a 4k display through the cable off the RR Player rather than through a power cord. The fact that USB 3.0 Superspeed will attain 10 Gbps through a two way exchange of both power and data flow, initially (which is overkill for .RED and well below Thunderbolt for data but well above for power exchange) that still gives us some headroom for unknown needs.
