This new player is awesome and exactly what we've been wanting!

In case you didn't know, if you update your RCX-Pro app, it now puts an additional small app named RED PLAYER in your Apps folder. This app plays back any r3d file. You can drag and drop an RDC folder or the R3D file into the window and it comes up immediately, just like a QT or anything else. Or change your "open with" and you can just double-click it and it will open.

This is great for us who have a rocket on one system but who are always trying to quickly look at files on other computers that may not have RCX on them.

This is awesome. Thanks a lot, Jarred and team.

Kevin,

If you change your "Open With" to the "RED Launcher" utility, things will get a bit smoother, even. If neither RED PLAYER, nor REDCINE-X PRO are open, or just RED PLAYER is open, the R3D will be loaded into RED PLAYER. However, if REDCINE-X PRO is open, the R3D will be loaded into the player in REDCINE-X PRO.

The file association is set by the installer for RED Launcher to be the default, but it didn't seem to work on all machines. We've found a fix since then, so Build 14 should have this done automatically for you.

Cool. Thx for the tip, Grant.

LOVE this app.
