  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED Party Pictures

I still don't know why you'd want the lens to be at collarbone height, unless you're only shooting the vertically challenged.

also comes in handy when you're 6'7" like me, and are shooting music videos for bands that average 5'6" haha

Aha! I knew it. It is deeper. I was thinking that second image was of the FF35/S35 brains. I guess it's the ?Fixed Lens? scarlet which is considerably thicker.

(Foreground cam vs bg cam). That was my confusion.

The fixed lens looks ke it has 5 spines vs 3 on the standard brains.

That MOCO rig is wild. The guys who were showing it at the Reduser meet had it flowing in all sorts of crazy snakelike moves. Seven different axes and very pricey, around 130,000.00 euros, tentatively, if I remember correctly.

HAHAHAAHA... that's my favorite new 'red module'. I love that it just plugs into the middle of the camera system like any other module.

Priceless.

Seems like its range though is pretty limited. No larger dolly moves. Would also need "No go" zones for working with miniatures. I would hate to see the snake uncoil and blow through the model--especially since it seems it would need some pretty automated software to translate the desired motion into the Moco rig. No human is going to be able to manually program that thing.

It is already possible to define a simple working volume, but the final product will support complex volumes. So there should be no worries about the miniatures, the camera or the lens when it is used right.
